Still fighting with the remains of my cold ... so another lazy morning ... skyping with the whole family ... but after that Gabi thought to get me out of the house to get some fresh air. So we went in direction Fall River, actually the only direction we haven't been to yet. To our surprise only a few minutes after the junction of the Hwy they had everything you need, from Tim Hortons, Sobeys to Lawtons ... what a nice surprise, so why was everybody sending us to Bedford for shopping??? Hm ... that's why I prefer finding out things by myself. ;o) It's all a little smaller than in the city, but really ok.
We went further on to Grand Lake and walked the trails of Oakfield Park for a while.
Then back to Laurie Park, a campground in summer - should be lovely - closed for renovations in 2010 ... seems to be a good spot for 2011! I somehow have the feeling that we were actually camping. It was warmer than in October and the smell of wet woods made me feel I would pitch up my tent here somewhere. Not a bad thought, though. It was good to walk through the park and breathe some fresh air. That's what I always enjoy when camping ... being outside for nearly 24 hours.
Back at home we made spare ribs on the grill, with potato salad, avocado cream and naan bread. Yummy!!!
