April 2nd 2010 --- Good Friday Turkey

I'm catholic ... at least I was raised catholic. I don't even remember when I went to a church, though.
I was always told that I'm not permitted to eat any kind of meat on Good Friday and I somehow felt always strange when I did anyway in the last years. This actually was the first time I didn't care at all. Ok, writing about it shows that I did care, but it was different ... I didn't feel bad at all. ;o)
It tasted way too good! And the lemon pie!!!!! Yummy!

It was quite a nice day and so we decided to go to Halifax and enjoy some sunshine. We thought about leaving the car in Dartmouth and taking the ferry, but the ferry wasn't working. Ok ... shops are closed on a holiday - same as in Germany, but public transport? We weren't the only people who were confused about that. Anyway it didn't matter at all. We just took the bridge as always. Fog was rolling in and the wind was kinda chilly. We got a cappuccino at Perk's and walked around. Nice.

Back over the bridge then ... visiting our friends Heather and Jim and little Niamh in Dartmouth.
A really lovely little girl! A wonderful evening and a delicious turkey! Thanks for that!
