March 4th 2010 From our lonely cabin to an haunted hotel in Sydney --- ECMAs kick-off!

Cape Breton was covered under a white blanket of snow in the morning. Finally.
It was pretty windy outside, but I liked it anyway.

After a breakfast and packing things we left to Sydney. The drive wasn't too bad.

The hotel we are staying at is supposed to be haunted (I found that actually on an hotel rating website). Anyway, the first person I actually met in the hotel was Dave Gunning --- the first ghost? The second ghost was suddenly standing in our room --- a cleaning lady.
If that was it with the ghosts, then it's ok. lol

We first went to the Delta to check things out. Met a lot of people there … Bill, Dennis, Jenny, Stephen, Jerry, … then we tried to get tickets to the Songwriters Circle tomorrow, but failed --- sold out! A nice meal at the Delta and then off to the Joan Harriss Cruise Pavilion … Jenn Grant and Thom Swift (loved Thom's performance with band) --- changing venues --- Membertou TCC … The Keats and Dave Gunning (I really loved the performance of Dave, as always) … to close the evening we went to the Smooth Herman's CB Mic … Dawn & Margie Beaton, Colin Grant Band and Tom Fun Orchestra.

A great way to start the ECMAs. By the way --- it's still snowing and pretty windy outside, but not too bad!

  1. Although Dave is a tiny bit ghostlike I don't think he qualifies as a real one.I am sure Gabi will protect you from the spirits of Sydney.
