April 7th 2010 --- Oysterband the second!

Gabi wanted a fresh haircut today. So we were off to the Halifax Shopping Centre. We also needed money and that is always an adventure ... lol. The lady started very confident and as I thought wow ... that was easy, just one signature and one ID she said ... I have to show this my boss. Ok ... that was it with fast and easy handling then. They started photocopying my passport ... calling my credit card company and it took as long as always. No, not a problem at all, but funny. Ok ... back home again for some food ... ham and potatoes. Yes you can make fresh potatoes in the microwave ... hehe ... I'm learning a lot here.
Shower and off to another Oysterband experience! :o)))
Today we were on the guest list ... thanks John Jones for that! Pretty cool! Wendy and Bruce had seats at their table, Kelly came as expected and sat down there, too. All is good. By the way among the guests were David Myles, Jamie Robinson and Geoff D'Eon.

Tara and her husband from Winnipeg, who are huge Oysterband fans (were there yesterday, too) came to say "Hello". It's always good to meet new people, who travel because of music!

The concert was as good as yesterday, except the fact that they skipped "Put Out The Lights" ... what a bummer! Anyway... I really loved the song they played instead "We Could Leave Right Now" ...We could leave right now

maybe it's getting light out there

papers in the alley

just a little rain

we can forget our names

forget each other's faces

don't be afraid

don't be afraid ...

Of course I had my wrapped cheesecake in the intermission ... it doesn't matter anymore ... I think I got a lot of kilos here in the last weeks ... I'll try to loose them again during the summer - definitely not now. ;o)

After the show I had a nice chat with Jamie and Geoff, who actually sent me a track some years ago and it was a pleasure to meet him in person finally. We also had a nice chat with the drummer of the Oysterband ... and of course said thanks to John Jones. What a lovely evening again!? Wow.
I tried some night shots as we arrived at home and I love them!!!

The trip of my lifetime ... I don't really want to say and think that ... but it feels like it never can be topped!

Btw I removed my necklace after wearing it for about 5 years today, not that anyone would be interested in that, it's just for the record.
Need a new one now!!! :o)))
By the way it was absolutely amazing writing this blog on the dock in the sun, watching the lake the canoe and listening to the birds!
