A sunny day again and it started with a coffee out of my new Thom Swift mug. Unfortunately the milk had gone sour and ... ok ... the pictures were nice, though. ;o)
Today we wanted to go to Peggy's Cove, a short stop at Tim Horton's at Hammonds Plains and some shopping in Tantallon.
We drove along the coastline ... I really love it here. The small harbours and islands. At the Swiss Air Memorial Park we walked down to the ocean. For the first time we didn't have our "gore-tex shoes" with us and we had to cross a wet meadow ... ah well ... my feet were soaking wet. Anyway the beauty of the area let us forget that. We had a short chat with a local fisherman, who was spreading out some traps - I loved his accent - really cute! We took about 200 pictures ... with and without grey filter and enjoyed the sun setting. Wow, that was actually beautiful!
I hope we'll do that one more time in the next two weeks.
Back at the car we drove to Halifax to the Carleton, got in just right in time to see Jessica Rhaye. Only a few people were there and though I like her music and think it was a good performance I was very dissapointed to get just an one hour concert for 15$. The fish & fries were delicious and the evening was nice, but ... hm ... maybe it was just to hard to follow on such a great performance of Thom yesterday ;o))). Good to meet and have a short chat with Carmel again!
Another great day!
